Actually, the Tropicana, or at least its strategic south corner of the Strip, is the keystone of a bipartisan Nevada plan to bring the A's to Las Vegas. The A's owners, Tropicana operator Bally's and the city and state are convinced that tourists, jobs and dollars will follow.
