Despite the absence on this week’s meeting agenda, a person with knowledge of the situation said the A’s are making progress on a variety of documents, and more information on those should be available soon.
There will be plenty of opportunity for the A’s and stadium authority to work out the agreements in a public setting with monthly board meetings planned through the end of the year
Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board Director Steve Hill, who also serves as president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, said last week he did not know when the renderings would be released.
“Yeah, I have seen them. They’re spectacular,” Hill told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “But I’m not sure what their plans are for revealing that.”
Although Oakland Athletics-related items weren’t on the agenda for Thursday’s Las Vegas Stadium Authority Board of Directors meeting, work with MLB remains ongoing.
Stadium authority chariman Steve Hill said A’s items relating to the team’s planned $1.5 billion ballpark are expected to be heard during the next scheduled meeting in February or March.
“Obviously the agenda today is about the Raiders; we are continuing to have conversations with the A’s,” Hill said. “Those conversations are going well. We anticipate bringing back the community benefits agreement, the lease agreement and potentially the first draft of the non-relocation agreement at our next board meeting … The development agreement will not be introduced at our next board meeting.”
The Oakland Athletics’ development agreement for its planned Las Vegas ballpark is not on Thursday’s Las Vegas Stadium Authority meeting agenda, but the potential approval of the team’s community benefits agreement is.
The lack of a stadium development agreement should not be cause for concern, as the finalization of the Raiders development agreement took several months before construction began on Allegiant Stadium. A development agreement includes a full breakdown of the stadium construction process, including how it will be financed. The Raiders stadium development agreement document was over 300 pages long.
bigtimebravesfan: Had a great conversation with the owner of the forum. very cool place. My one thing I have to say about the A's is that I understand them making the moves to trade away Olson and Murphy to the Braves. Both are late 20's and had contracts coming up.

LVfan: Great taking to you too. The Braves picked up some great players at the A's expense. Even if you're not a Braves fan, they are an easy team to like. So Go Braves, except when playing Dodgers and A's.
